George Sauer is a modelers modeler.  Always there to assist - friendly - courteous (a rarity anymore) - and knowledgable.  His basement is loaded with models from rubber power, electric, rotary, gas, ducted fans, twins - etc. From Byron's stuff to a few ARF's - so here is the scoop on the Spitfire .....spitfire weighs 20 lbs-3 oz at the moment.  Powered by OS 1.20 supercharged 4 cycle swinging a Graupner 16-8 3 blade  (changing to 18-6 or 18-8 soon )........still removing weight from the nose at the rate of 3 oz per flight.....started with 3-1/2 lbs of lead in the nose!!!  Still sorting it out.  Mainly engine problems but it fly's fine.
