My Book

Top Row
Photo #1 -Just had to get in and check out the new door and latch.  Willy Nelson headband looks stupid but it keeps the sweat off my glasses.  Stupid is as stupid does.

NOTE: -  put in metal-hardware order Thursday the 2nd of August-01.  That will give me several more months of work.  Probably through the winter.  Connecting the rudder pedals - bracing the tail feathers - making the Control Stick - landing gear and cabane are the next main projects as well as putting in another door for the front cockpit, a few more gussets here and there and yah dah - yah dah, blah.  So far about 600 hours and including my last order about $1800.

Photo #2 - Not particularly a good shot but hopefully you can see my tail bracing tubes.

Photo #3 - This is a fiberglass fairing I made to fair in the front of the vertical (tail) to the fuselage.  It will be screwed to the airframe later.

Photo #4 - Working out the windscreens.  I will used these as templates to make aluminum ones.  Fiberglassed the edges to get a good fitting template.

Photo #5 -This is the PVC pipe fitting I used for my main control stick bearing.  One and 1/2" I.D.

Bottom Row
Photo #1 - This is the rear bearing installed in a wooden block that will be fiberglassed prior to installation.  It also shows the main control horn for the aileron push rods.  The Rod End bearing on the left will connect to a steel rod that will attach to the elevator horn installed aft of the cockpit.

Photo #2 - Controls as they will be installed.

Photo #3 - Picture shows the master elevator control horn and rod that attach to the main control unit and transfer movement to the elevators.

Photo #4 - This is the trim tab lever that I fabricated.  It will end up attached on the right side of the pilot.

Photo #5 - Trim tab horn connection using Bowden cable & "B" nut.  This will later change as I added another trim tab on the right elevator and operate both from a centrally located internal control horn.
