At ~7:10pm EDT on November 16, Helen and I started out for our evening walk from home in Canton, MI.  The sky was very clear and we were commenting on the moon and on how many airplanes we could see. Suddenly we saw a bright Roman-Candle-like object moving across the sky from west to east.  We couldn't tell the altitude, but we guessed that it was not very high, about 2000-5000 feet. If it was at that altitude, it was several hundred feet long.  It turns out that it was much higher and longer. It had a bright head and a long tail. The tail had sparkles in it, very similar to a roman candle. We watched the object for about 10-15 seconds as it seemed to move slowly across the sky. In fact, we moved from the sidewalk to the street to see it better. It seemed to fade to a point as it disappeared in the distance.
