Camp Crowder was a military base in Southwest Missouri, just south of Neosho, Missouri. It was activated shortly after the beginning of WWII and served as the temporary home of thousands of male, female, white and black soldiers. It was deactivated around 1958.
In an earlier version of this page, I tried to make links to other pages with information or pictures about Camp Crowder. That didn't work because those pages kept disappearing. This page will now include information and photographs that I've found on various pages on the web. Where possible I will credit the sources.
