1967
- 1967 flyer, 'Second Annual Southern
California Ice Hockey Clinic, Directed by Ronny Van Gompel and Willie
O'Ree, July 5-Aug 5, 1967, Van Nuys Iceland, Van Nuys, California.
- 1967, two four page letters
by Max McNab annoucing and describing in detail the 'San Diego Summer
Hockey School', August 23--Sept 1, 1967 at the San Diego International
Sports Arena with Gulls players to be announced as on ice instructors.
Extensive off ice clinic Instructors listed were: Lloyd Gilmour,
Western Hockey League head referee, Bill Gray, Gulls chief trainer and
Ron Oakes, the 'voice of the Gulls' discussing non player opportunities
in hockey. Max advertised the school as 'strict' with grading, awards,
discipline, a diploma and provided each player a 12 page brochure on
playing tips.
1968

1971
- 1971 flyer, 'Shack will be Back',
Eddie Shack Ice Hockey Clinic, then traded to Buffalo, Eddie returned
to expand a very successful 1970 school. The rink was the old and tiny
one on Calvert Street in Van Nuys and the sessions were on Saturday
mornings from May 1st to July 3rd, 27 sessions from July 5th to Sept
2nd, geared so kids could sign up for as many as they could afford,
paying by the week.

Annual Pickwick Hockey School', Bob McGilvray, Director, Aug 2-Aug 14,
1971, 2 hours ice time/day, free public sessions, on site pool, etc.
Coaches: Gilles Marotte, Gerry Desjardins of the Kings and Frank
Dunnigan whose
pro career included Ottawa, Canada, Long Beach (Calif) Gulls, 1963 and
Los Angeles Blades briefly in 1964. Coach of the successful
Pasadena-Burbank Juniors of the L.A. Junior Hockey League, placing
fourth in the Nationals in San Diego in 1970.
