Winter of 1948-49, Town of Belmont built an addition to the Highway Department Garage, aka, 'The Town Barn'. The electrical system was installed by B.H.S. 'Electrician Concentration' Vocational students. Class of '50 pictured below unless noted otherwise. The 'Voke' schools daily curriculum was knowledge and skills of 'trades' in the am, with regular academic courses after lunch. I took 'auto shop' in lieu of study periods in my senior year.

I counted 272 student names from above in a separate alphabetized list I compiled. There are 43 question marks, 23 after 'guess naming', and 20 with 'no guess', of those 5 are faculty. So the total of students showing in the pics is 273 + 15 = 288.

The following names were signed on the back of Ellie DePalma McCarthy's class picture and their identity has not been confirmed in any of the above sections of the class picture.

Pat Duffey, Virginia Connors, Barbara Hart, Carroll Lalley BHS '51, Evelyn Marcesse,  Jane Perine, Joannie Rablin,  Barbara Snoad (right side, row 7, far right?).

And we believe the following signees were faculty.

A.F. Gay, Gertrude Wood, Margaret Kelly, Gertrude King, Doris Mousey, Cecilia Lyons
