COLLEGE ELIGIBILITY RULES 'best I can do' with explanations
NCAA D-1: If you play 1 GAME in organized competition after you turn 21, you lose a year of eligibility. If you play that one game at age 22, you lose 2 years. Organized competition includes any game where (a) refs were used, (b) scores were kept, or (c) stats were kept. That's some of the rules
NCAA D-III is quite lenient. Reputedly some 40+ year olds are D3 rostered in the Northeast.
If
you go Major
Junior
in Canada you are no longer considered an amateur by the NCAA and you
have
to appeal.
