The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer, non-military arm of the U.S. Coast Guard. It serves the public through boating-safety classes, free vessel safety checks and safety patrols on the water and in the air. Members of the Auxiliary have no direct law-enforcement powers and issue no permits. This web site is dedicated to the safety of the boating public. Founded in 1989, Flotilla 57 is one of six Flotillas under the jurisdiction of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 5 which is responsible for the territory of Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. Flotilla 57 is located in Lakeview, Arkansas. It oversees twin lakes, Bull Shoals Lake and Norfolk Lake, and twin rivers, the White river and Norfork river. We invite you to attend our Flotilla unit meetings. They are held at 0900 (9:00 a.m.) on the second Saturday of each month at City Hall, Highway 178, Lakeview, Arkansas. Recreational boating in the United States is growing rapidly. To help make boating safer for all, the Auxiliary needs more quality members, people like you! U.S. citizens 17 years of age and older can join. Click on the following link for detailed information about the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and what it offers. Remember! You can make a difference!
