U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Banner

Our Vision for 2007 - 2008

Our members will remain efficient, qualified in what they choose to do and vigilant in all of the Auxiliary missions.  We will maintain ourselves as professionals both on and off duty in completing our missions.

We have encountered a lot of change the past few years in what we hope will make for a better Auxiliary.  We will willingly and eagerly embrace change as a means of keeping us sharp and alert for what lies ahead.  We will find ways to keep a balance among homeland security, recreational boating safety and operations programs.

To make use of our daily and future readiness, we must use the 3 R's,  RECRUIT, REVITALIZE and show RESPONSIBILITY:

RECRUIT More than ever before we must find ways to attract and recruit new members in all of our programs.  We must take the responsibility to work with our new members insuring they have professional instruction on the areas that they wish to be involved.  They must have caring mentors that show caring attitudes and professionalism.

REVITALIZE We will be competent in our programs by keeping trained in the areas that we are weak on or need additional training to keep us strong.  We will exert our energies to achieve the highest standards in all that we do.

RESPONSIBILITY We will show responsibility to our new members by mentoring them and teaching them the programs they desire to participate in, thus becoming proficient in these programs.  We will demonstrate responsibility to the U.S. Coast Guard, the Auxiliary and to ourselves by keeping our qualifications up to date and always ready to serve the public or our fellow members.  We will remain dedicated to our core values of Honor, Respect and devotion to Duty.
