"During this period, Auxiliarist WENDLAND dedicated an impressive 4500 hours to coordinate registration, meals, and audit every bill for both major conferences each year.  As Chief Financial Officer for the District, she has performed in an exceptional fashion by continually overcoming tight payment deadlines, while concurrently working as the focal point for all conference registrations. Auxiliarist WENDLAND did an outstanding job staffing the registration desk long hours each day of each conference ensuring all attendees were provided with the materials and information required to make their conference experience the best. Exceeding all expectations, Auxiliarist WENDLAND carefully reviewed all hotel charges, ensured meals were correctly billed, verified that special meals were screened to address dietary concerns, and adeptly prepared a detailed seating chart and placards for the banquet room setup so it would be compliant with proper military protocol. Auxiliarist WENDLAND’s tireless efforts and tenacity involving the region’s largest events during the calendar year encompassing over 300 personnel and resulting in a 100 percent success rate covering 14 major events during the past 7 years has earned her congratulations from all levels of the Auxiliary. Her superior knowledge of the Auxiliary logistic infrastructure has greatly reduced the potential for costly billing overages and hidden support costs, which could have jeopardized program success and impacted future event funding."
