"During
that time, you volunteered to take on the role of project lead to
coordinate the National Auxiliary Training Conference held in St. Louis,
Missouri. As project lead, you were responsible for every aspect of
the conference, including but not limited to coordinating logistics with
the Office of the Chief, Director of Auxiliary and several other senior
Coast Guard Auxiliary members. You worked diligently with dozens of
senior Auxiliary staff members from across the country to ensure you
completely understood all the requirements to support the conference, and
then you pursued proper funding to meet these requirements. Once you
confirmed funding was received you worked closely with ISC St. Louis
Comptroller Division to make certain all items were purchased in a timely
manner and delivered to the conference site ahead of schedule. You
further coordinated with ISC St. Louis Personnel Services Division to
provide a 12-passenger van for transportation and procured the services of
the Chaplain and the Color Guard for the opening ceremonies.
Finally, you coordinated the efforts of ESU St. Louis technicians to
provide telephone, computer and technical support for the week-long
conference. Conference attendees, including the Commandant of the
Coast Guard and many other senior active duty and Auxiliary officers, were
the key beneficiaries of your hard work, and several commented on your
dedication and the success of the conference." |
