Employee Identification Card
(Empl ID)

ID Redesigned

A post September 11 increase in scrutiny by security, as well as the continued growing interaction of Auxiliary personnel with the regular Coast Guard and other military branches, has led to revision of the Auxiliary ID card.  This upgrade is intended to increase the acceptance at security checkpoints as well as represent the Auxiliary members in the highest professional light.

Wear Uniform for ID Picture

The wearing of the Auxiliary uniform for ID card photos is considered essential.  The Auxiliary uniform is to be worn when on any mission where you represent the Auxiliary or the Coast Guard, hence your ID card is your representation of the Auxiliary.  Most importantly, wearing of the uniform for ID card photos will help ensure the professional standards intended by the new ID card as well as increase your professional appearance and acceptance, among the regular Coast Guard and by the other armed service branches.

ID Picture Background

Your picture for an Employee ID should be taken with a red background.
