EXCELLENCE IN EVERY ACTION

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary's primary mission is promoting recreational boating safety.  The 8th Western Rivers district offers a variety of public education training courses, vessel safety checks and marine safety visits.

The 8th Western Rivers District is committed to developing leaders, promoting teamwork, better communication and emphasizing diversity.  The collective experiences, skills, talents, perspective and cultures that each member brings to the Coast Guard Auxiliary are what make us strong.  The Auxiliary is a volunteer organization made up of all races, age, religious backgrounds, people with disabilities, and gender.

There are many opportunities in the Coast Guard Auxiliary in which to participate.  Follow this link to learn more about the Auxiliary.  I also invite you to talk to someone in your area to learn more about joining the Coast Guard Force.

What can I do to help keep America's waterways safe and secure?

Become an active participant in America's Waterway Watch program.  America's Waterway Watch is a public outreach program, encouraging participants to simply report suspicious activity to the Coast Guard and/or other law enforcement agencies.  Learn more about the program and how you can participate by selecting the above link.
