Citation (in part)

"Displaying outstanding dedication to aid verification on the Upper Mississippi River, during two consecutive boating seasons this talented team completed 100 percent of all assigned navigation aids.  The team faced a significant challenge conducting these verification missions, which covered a distance of 205 miles on the Upper Mississippi River.  During these missions the team conducted 12 nighttime Aid to Navigation Patrols and verified 47 floating aids and 14 bridge aids.  They reported 100 percent completion of all assigned navigation aids for two consecutive boating seasons and greatly assisted the USCG Cutter Scioto (WLIC 65504) in the performance of its duties from mile marker 325.8 to mile marker 455.9 on the Upper Mississippi River "
