Aurora City Fire Department proudly protects 7,014 people living in an area of 35 square miles. We operate from 2 stations that protect two primary city areas. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 5. The Aurora City Fire Department is a department, that was established in ?. We have grown from an all-volunteer membership supported department, to a tax based with 5 paid professionals, and a manned station 24 hours a day. In addition, we are in the process of implementing a residence program at stations #2, . With the addition of this manned station, our response time will improved. Our volunteer list is made up of extremely dedicated individuals that continuously make sacrifices to serve the citizens of their community.
