The Aurora City Fire Department needs committed men and women to provide our services to our community. Firefighting is a fun and rewarding way to give back to your community.   Each year we try host two volunteer firefighter enrollments. This is the first step in becoming a volunteer for the Aurora City Fire Department.

The basics of this enrollment is to get you started as a volunteer, the intial step is to get an application into the department, then after letters have been sent to the respective individuals, they will then in turn come down to the station and take the written exam. After the written exam is complete and all scores are taken down. There is a semi final letter sent out to those who qualify for the phyiscal agility testing. This final test on physical agility is done here at station 1.
